Jolaibari assembly constituency is in the South Tripura district of Tripura State. There are 44,945 voters in the constituency of which 42,345 voters voted in the last election making the voting to around 94.22%. The Demographic Bifurcation of the constituency is 90.51% Hindus, 4.69% Muslims and 1.64% Christians.

Jashabir Tripura candidate belonging to Communist Party Of India (Marxist) won the seat in last election defeating Ankya Mog Choudhuri of Bharatiya Janata Party by 1,568 Votes.
