Tizit assembly constituency is in the Mon district of Nagaland State. There are 18,127 voters in the constituency of which 16,973 voters voted in the last election making the voting to around 93.63%. The Demographic Bifurcation of the constituency is 85.52% Christians, 10.97% Hindus and 2.98% Muslims. P Paiwang Konyak candidate belonging to Bharatiya Janata Party won the seat in last election defeating Y Wangto Konyak an independent candidate by 2,386 Votes.
