Aghunato assembly constituency is in the Zunheboto district of Nagaland State. There are 10,014 voters in the constituency of which 8,968 voters voted in the last election making the voting to around 89.5%. The Demographic Bifurcation of the constituency is 97.97% Christians, 1.38% Hindus and 0.29% Muslims.

Kazheto Kinimi candidate belonging to Bharatiya Janata Party won the seat in last election defeating K Khekaho Assumi of Naga Peoples Front by 735 Votes.
