About Seemapuri Assembly (Vidhan Sabha) Constituency

Seemapuri is a residential area of North East Delhi district. The assembly constituency of Seemapuri falls under North East Delhi parliamentary constituency. The constituency is reserved for the Scheduled Castes. Veer Singh Dhingan of INC won three consecutive assembly elections and was the MLA from 1998 to 2013. But in 2013 assembly elections Dharmender Singh of AAP defeated Dhingan. Singh bagged 43199 votes and won by a margin of 11976 votes.
