About Aluva Assembly Constituency

Aluva is constituency No. 76 of Kerala legislative assembly. It is situated in Ernakulam district and comes under the Chalakudy Lok Sabha constituency. It is an unreserved seat. The Chalakudy Lok Sabha seat was formed after delimitation in 2008. According to the Election Commission of India, Aluva has 1,58,819 registered voters. It comprises 78,651 male and 80,168 female registered voters.

INC candidate Anwar Sadath won this seat in the 2011 assembly elections by securing 64,244 votes. The runner-up was A.M. Yousaf of CPI(M). The winning margin was 13,214. The voter turnout was 80.52 %.
