Edwin Kulbhushan Majhi(E.K. Majhi) took charge as Principal Secretary (Election) and Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) of Kerala on 1 October 2015. E.K. Majhi, an IAS officer of 1989 batch, will be responsible for the smooth conduct of 2016 assembly polls likely to be held between April and May. Majhi had returned to Kerala in April 2014 after serving as joint secretary in the Union Ministry of Agriculture.
