About Khan Sahib Assembly (Vidhan Sabha) Constituency

Khan Sahib is a town in Badgam district of Jammu and Kashmir. As of 2001 India census, it had a population of 2038. The assembly constituency of Khan Sahib falls under Srinagar parliamentary constituency. Hakeem Mohammad Yasin of PDF won the 2008 assembly elections and is the present MLA. He also won the 2002 assembly elections but as an independent candidate. In 2008, he defeated Saif Ud Din Bhat of PDP. Yasin received 22616 votes as against Bhat's 14221 votes.
