Lok Janashakti Party�s Raj Kumar Shah is currently representing the Lalganj constituency in the Bihar Assembly. He won the election in 2015 with a margin of 11.62% compared to the runner up Vijay Kumar Shukla (JDU). The voter turnout on the day of the election was 57%. There are a total of 3,10,259 voters in the Lalganj constituency.br />
This constituency is located in the Vaishali district of Bihar. It falls under the Hajipur Lok Sabha constituency. The runner up of the 2015 Bihar Election, Vijay Kumar Shukla had been elected MLA from Lalganj in the year 2005. In the same year, he got elected in February as an LJP candidate while in October 2005 he won as JDU candidate. Whereas Raj Kumar Shah had served as the vice president of LJP in Bihar for a brief time.
