Gaura Bauram is one of the 243 legislative assembly segments of the state of Bihar. It is in Darbhanga district of the state. As per the implementation of the orders of the Delimitation Commission of India, the Gaura Bauram assembly constituency comprises Saho, Kothram, Patania, Neuri, Dumri, Bhawanipur, Ramnagar, Rohar Mahmuda, Sahsaram, Parri, Biraul, Itwa Shivnagar and Supaul gram panchayats of Biraul community development block; Kiratpur and Gaura Bauram CD blocks.

There are a total of 2,15,526 eligible voters in the Gaura Bauram assembly constituency. Amongst those who can vote are 1,13,932 men and 1,01,593 women. Dr. Izhar Ahmad of JD (U) is the sitting MLA of the Gaura Bauram assembly constituency. He won the seat with 33,258 votes and defeated RJD's Dr. Mahavir Prasad by a margin of 10,602 votes in the 2010 assembly elections. Gaura Bauram belongs to the Darbhanga Lok Sabha (parliamentary) segment of Bihar.
