Here are the highlights for Day 38 of Modi government

  • Ford Motor Company which is investing in a car plant in Sanand in Gujarat is likely to export cars from this plant, thus putting India's name on the international manufacturing map. This was discussed in Modi's meeting with the CEO of Ford.
  • In order to increase the use of social media in government departments, Narendra Modi has allowed the unrestricted use of both Twitter and Facebook in his administration.
  • The PM today met US Senator John McCain. McCain stated his desire to improve the relationship between the two countries by the strategic partnership.
  • Prime Minister Narendra Modi has decided to himself take the charge of the rallies and campaigns for the Bihar polls slated to be held next year.
  • The four ministries of Civil Aviation, Railways, Road and Shipping are on the priority list of the Modi government. The government will keep a regular check on the progress of these ministries. The monthly meeting of these ministries will be headed by Surface Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari.
  • Nitin Gadkari is expecting a fund of Rs 1 lakh crore from the Modi government for the development of highway sector.
  • High security measures are being taken in the state of Jammu and Kashmir ahead of Modi's visit tomorrow to address a 'Sanik Samelan' in Srinagar. During his visit he will also flag off the train from Katra.
  • According to the sources, during his visit to Brazil, the PM is likely to meet German Chancellor Angela Merkel.
  • Facebook has regarded Narendra Modi as the second most famous politician.
  • As per the sources, in a move to improve economic growth the Modi government might sell 5% of its share in the SAIL.
