About Natabari Legislative Assembly (Vidhan Sabha) Constituency

Natabari is one of the 294 legislative assembly segments in the state of West Bengal. It is located in the Cooch Behar district and a part of the Cooch Behar (SC) Lok Sabha (parliamentary) constituency. According to the recommendations of the Delimitation Commission of India in 2008, the Natabari assembly constituency consists of Natabari-II, Natabari-I, Andaran Fulbari-II, Maruganj, Balarampur-II, Balarampur-I, Deocharai, Dhalpal-II, Chilakhana-I and Chilakhana-II gram panchayats of Tufanganj-I community development block; and Panisala, Deoanhat, Jiranpur, Guriahati-I and Guriahati-II gram panchayats of Cooch Behar-I community development block. All India Trinamool Congress's (AITC) Rabindra Nath Ghosh bagged 81,951 votes in the assembly elections in 2011 and won the Natabari assembly seat. Tamser Ali of CPM managed 74,386 votes and settled as the runner-up. A total of 2,12,305 people of the Natabari legislative assembly segment enjoy the right to exercise the universal adult  franchise and vote, out of whom 1,10,644 are males and 1,01,660 are females as per the electoral roll data compiled by the Election Commission of India in 2014.
