According to data with the Election Commission of India, Rampur Khas has 2,83,912 registered voters. It comprises 1,53,234 male and 1,30,675 female registered voters.

The Congress won this constituency by a whopping margin of 31,534 votes in the 2012 Assembly elections. Pramod Kumar, the winning Congress candidate, got 74,545 votes. The nearest contender was Hiramani Patel of BSP who got 43,011 votes. The voter turnout was 53.37 %.
