Khatauli is constituency No. 15 of Uttar Pradesh legislative assembly. It is situated in Muzaffarnagar district and comes under the Muzaffarnagar Lok Sabha constituency. It is an open constituency.
According to data with the Election Commission of India, Khatauli has 2,72,214 registered voters. It comprises 1,49,070 male and 1,23,135 female registered voters.
In the 2012 Assembly elections, the Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) won this constituency by 5,875 votes. Kartar Singh Bhadana, the winning candidate, bagged 46,722 votes. The nearest contender was Tara Chand Shastri of BSP who got 40,847 votes. The voter turnout was 62.54 %.
