About Dhampur Assembly Constituency

Dhampur is constituency No. 20 of Uttar Pradesh legislative assembly. It is situated in Bijnor district and comes under Nagina Lok Sabha constituency. It is an open constituency.

According to data with the Election Commission of India, Dhampur has 2,52,629 registered voters. It comprises 1,37,630 male and 1,14,996 female registered voters.

In the 2012 Assembly elections, the Samajwadi Party (SP) won this constituency by a really slim margin of just 564 votes. Th. Mool Chand Chauhan, the winning Samajwadi Party candidate, got 53,365 votes. The nearest contender was Ashok Kumar Rana of BSP who got 52,801 votes. The voter turnout was 63.80 %.
