About Deoband Assembly Constituency

Deoband is constituency No. 5 of Uttar Pradesh legislative assembly. It is situated in Saharanpur district and comes under Saharanpur Lok Sabha constituency. It is an unreserved constituency.

According to data with the Election Commission of India, Deoband has 2,92,273 registered voters. It comprises 1,60,300 male and 1,31,973 female registered voters.

In the 2012 Assembly elections, the Samajwadi Party (SP) won this constituency by 3,050 votes. Rajendra Singh Rana, the winning candidate, got 66,682 votes. The runner-up was Manoj Chaudhary of BSP who got 63,632 votes. The voter turnout was 67.02 %.
