Kailashahar assembly constituency is in the North Tripura district of Tripura State. There are 46,083 voters in the constituency of which 39,787 voters voted in the last election making the voting to around 86.34%. The Demographic Bifurcation of the constituency is 73.20% Hindus, 15.24% Muslims and 6.35% Christians.
Moboshar Ali candidate belonging to Communist Party Of India (Marxist) won the seat in last election defeating Nitish De of Bharatiya Janata Party by 4,834 Votes.
