Hrishyamukh assembly constituency is in the South Tripura district of Tripura State. There are 43,316 voters in the constituency of which 40,341 voters voted in the last election making the voting to around 93.13%. The Demographic Bifurcation of the constituency is 90.51% Hindus, 4.69% Muslims and 1.64% Christians.

Badal Choudhury candidate belonging to Communist Party Of India (Marxist) won the seat in last election defeating Ashesh Baidya of Bharatiya Janata Party by 6,330 Votes.
