He was again appointed as State Gen.Secy in 2010.Soon in 2012 Kamal Sharma was appointed as Political Advisor to the Punjab Chief Minister S.Prakash Singh Badal. 15th January,2013 he was appointed as Punjab President of Bhartiya Janata Party.
