Western Angami assembly constituency is in the Kohima district of Nagaland State. There are16,909 voters in the constituency of which 13,937 voters voted in the last election making the voting to around 82.42%. The Demographic Bifurcation of the constituency is 70% Hindus, 15%Muslims, 15% Others.Keneizhakho Nakhro candidate belonging to BJP won the seat in last election defeating Er Kevisekho Kruse of Nationalist Democratic Progressive Front by 694 Votes.
