There are 31,822 voters in the constituency of which 22,540 voters voted in the last election making the voting to around 70.83%. Sanbor Shullai candidate belonging to Bharatiya Janata Party won the seat in last election defeating Manas Chaudhari of Congress by 5,097 Votes.
