Ranikor assembly constituency is in the west Khasi Hills district of Meghalaya State. There are 29,696 voters in the constituency of which 26,830 voters voted in the last election making the voting to around 90.35%. The Demographic Bifurcation of the constituency is 85.35% Christians, 13.4% Hindus and 0.48% Muslims. Martin M Danggo candidate belonging to Congress party won the seat in last election defeating Pius Marwein of United Democratic Party by 2,002 Votes.
