Pynursla assembly constituency is in the east Khasi hills district of Meghalaya State. There are 33,196 voters in the constituency of which 30,238 voters voted in the last election making the voting to around 91.09%. The Demographic Bifurcation of the constituency is 50.2% follow other religions and persuasions, 48.41% Christians and 1.04% Hindus. Prestone Tynsong candidate belonging to National People's Party won the seat in last election defeating Nehru Suting of United Democratic Party by 2,574 Votes.
