North -Tura assembly constituency is in the West Garo Hills district of Meghalaya State. There are 30,558 voters in the constituency of which 23,603 voters voted in the last election making the voting to around 77.24%. The Demographic Bifurcation of the constituency is 72.71% Christians, 25.47% Hindus and 1.18% Muslims (Tura Municipality).
Thomas A Sangma candidate belonging to National people's Party won the seat in last election defeating Noverfield R Marak of Congress by 2,096 Votes.
