About Tirurangadi Assembly Constituency

Tirurangadi is constituency No. 43 of Kerala legislative assembly. This unreserved constituency is situated in Malappuram district. It comes under Ponnani Lok Sabha constituency. According to the Election Commission of India, this assembly seat has 1,52,896 registered voters. It comprises 76,355 male and 76,541 female registered voters. In the 2011 assembly elections, the Muslim League won this seat by a formidable margin of 30,208 votes. P.K. Abdu Rabb, the winning candidate, secured 58,666 votes. His main contender, CPI candidate K.K. Abdu Samad, got 28,458. The voter turnout was 65.62 %.
