About Nedumangad Assembly Constituency

Nedumangad is constituency No. 130 of Kerala legislative assembly. This unreserved constituency is situated in Thiruvananthapuram district. It comes under the Attingal Lok Sabha constituency. It is an open constituency. The corresponding Lok Sabha constituency Attingal was formed recently in 2008 following delimitation.

According to the Election Commission of India, Nedumangad has 1,75,795 registered voters. It comprises 82,880 male and 92,915 female registered voters.

INC candidate Palode Ravi won this seat in the 2011 Assembly elections. Ravi bagged 59,789 votes and beat his nearest contender by a margin of 5,030 votes. The runner-up was CPI candidate P. Ramachandran Nair who got 54,759 votes. The voter turnout was 71.07 %.
