About Kasaragod Assembly Constituency

Kasaragod is constituency No. 2 of Kerala legislative assembly. This unreserved constituency is situated in Kasaragod district. It comes under the Kasaragod Lok Sabha constituency.

According to the Election Commission of India, this constituency has 1,59,289 registered voters. It includes 80,247 male and 79,042 female voters.

The Muslim League won this seat in the 2011 assembly elections. N.A.Nellikkunnu, the winning candidate, bagged 53,068 votes. He defeated his nearest contender, Jayalakshmi N. Bhat of BJP, by a margin of 9,738 votes. The voter turnout was 73.50 %.
