About Beypore Assembly Constituency

Beypore is constituency No. 29 of Kerala legislative assembly. It is situated in Kozhikode district. It comes under the Kozhikode Lok Sabha constituency. Beypore is an open constituency. According to the Election Commission of India, Beypore has 1,64,045 registered voters. It comprises 79,330 male and 84,715 female registered voters.

The CPI(M) won this seat in the 2011 Assembly elections. Elamaram Kareem, the winning CPI(M) candidate, got 60,550 votes. He beat his nearest contender by a margin of 5,316 votes. The runner-up, Adam Mulsi of Congress, got 55,234 votes. The voter turnout was 78.88 %.
