About Aranmula Assembly Constituency
Aranmula is constituency No. 113 of Kerala legislative assembly. It is situated in Pathanamthitta district and comes under the Pathanamthitta Lok Sabha constituency. This Lok Sabha constituency was formed after delimitation in 2008. Aranmula is an unreserved constituency. According to the Election Commission of India, Aranmula has 2,07,229 registered voters. It comprises 95,912 male and 1,11,317 female registered voters.
In the 2011 assembly elections, the INC won this seat by a safe margin of 6,511 votes. K. Sivadasan Nair, the winning Congress candidate, got 64,845 votes. CPI(M)'s K.C. Rajagopalan was the nearest contender with 58,334 votes. The voter turnout was 65.63 %.
