Yagati Suryanarayana Venkatesha Datta, often known as Y. S. V. Datta, is a politician from the Chikmagalur District of Karnataka who was born on June 24, 1954. He belongs to the Janata Dal (Secular). He was the General secretary of the Janatha Dal (Secular) Party and representative of the party from 2001 until 2007. Further from 2006–2012, he was member of the legislative council and in 2013 he was the legislative assembly member from Kadur. In the Kadur seat, Dutta ran for office in the 2018 Karnataka Legislative Assembly election but was unsuccessful.
