Sharanabasappa Darshanapur - MLA from Shahapur (37)

Sharanabasappa Gouda Darshanpur is the MLA from Shahapur assembly constituency. He belongs to Indian national Congress party. In 2018 Vidhan Sabha elections he defeated Guru patil sirwal of Bharatiya Janata Party by almost 30 thousand votes. He has served as MLA in Karnataka Vidhan Sabha since four terms and also held various ministerial posts in the government. In H D Kumaraswamy Government he served as the Minister of Agriculture from 2006 to 2007.
