Narasimha Nayak ( Raju Gowda) is the MLA from Shorapur assembly constituency. he belongs to Bharatiya Janata party. in 2018 vidhan Sabha elections he defeated Raja Venkatappa naik of Congress party by almost 22 thousand votes. He is currently serving as the Chairman of Karnataka Urban Water Suply and Drainage Board. He has been elected as MLA for the third time. From 2011 to 2013 He also served as the cabinet Minister state small industry development, in the Governmnet of Karnataka.
