Laxman Sangappa Savadi - Previous MLA from Athani(3)

Laxman Sangappa Savadi is previous MLA from Athani assembly constituency. From 20 August 2019 to 28 July 2021, he served as Karnataka's 8th Deputy Chief Minister and Minister of Transport in the Fourth BS Yediyurappa government. He served as the Karnataka Legislative Council's Deputy Leader of the House. In the Second B.S. Yeddurappa Ministry and the D. V. Sadananda Gowda Government, he was the Minister for Cooperation. He was appointed Cabinet Minister in the Bharatiya Janata Party government led by Chief Minister B. S. Yeddyurappa on August 20, 2019. On February 17, 2020, he was elected as an MLC with 113 votes out of 120 cast.
