About Tundi Assembly (Vidhan Sabha) Constituency
One of the 81 assembly constituencies of Jharkhand, Tundi belongs to Giridih parliamentary constituency. Mathura Prasad Mahato of JMM (Jharkhand Mukti Morcha) won the assembly elections of 2009 for the second consecutive time. He defeated Saba Ahmad of JVM (Jharkhand Vikas Morcha). Mahato received 40787 votes as against Ahmad's 39869 votes. Having population of 102,022, according to 2011 census, Tundi is a town in Dhanbad district of Jharkhand.
