About Poreyahat Assembly (Vidhan Sabha) Constituency

One of the 81 assembly constituencies of Jharkhand, Poreyahat belongs to Godda parliamentary constituency. Pradip Yadav of JVM won the assembly elections of 2009. He defeated Suraj Mandal of JMM. Yadav received 67105 votes as against Mandal 's 30401 votes. Having population of 187,489, according to 2011 census, Poreyahat is a town in Godda district of Jharkhand.
