lohardaga (Jharkhand) Assembly Constituency Election Update
About Lohardaga Assembly (Vidhan Sabha) Constituency
Located in the district by the same name, the assembly constituency of Lohardaga belongs to Lohardaga Lok Sabha constituency. The seat is represented by AJSUP (All India Jharkahnd student union party). It was earlier occupied by INC (Indian National Congress). Kamal Kishor Bhagat of AJSUP won the 2009 assembly elections. He defeated Sukhdeo Bhagat of INC, the last time winner. Kamal Kishor Bhagat secured 35816 votes as against Sukhdeo Bhagat's 35210 votes. Having a population of 126,009, as per 2011 India census, the city is also the district headquarters. The constituency is reserved for the Scheduled Tribes.
