1. Go on the website of Chief Electoral Officer which is https://ceo.gujarat.gov.in/
2. Once you are in the homepage of the website look for the option 'Online Voter Registration' and click on it.
3. Before you move ahead, make sure you don't hold voter card from any other constituency in the country or in Gujarat state as it is illegal to have more that one voter card registered in your name.
4. Once you click on 'Online Voter Registration' you will be asked to sign in. If you haven't previously signed up you will need to sign up first.
5. As you click on 'Sign Up', the sign up form will appear. Fill the form with the details as required and again click on 'Sign Up'.
6. Once your registration is complete you will be Logged in.

8. You will then be required to provide Electoral Photo Identity Card number of either a member of your family or a neighbor.
9. Further, you will be asked to fill in your basic information as per requirement.

1. Visit the nearest Electoral Registration Office or go to the website of Chief Electoral Officer which is https://ceo.gujarat.gov.in/
2. In the homepage of the website look for the option 'For Voter'.
3. Once you take your cursor on 'For Voter' option, the drop-down menu will appear with 'FAQ for Voter' as the first option. Click on this option.
4. Now from the page which appears on your screen click on 'Registration of Name in Electoral Roll (Form-6) '. This option allows you to download form 6.
5. Fill the form and submit it to your nearest Electoral Registration Office with below documents and recent passport size color photograph and then follow the steps as guided by office and you will receieve you Gujarat state election card at your address.
Documents requireed for Election or Voter Card in Gujarat
For age proof (if between 18 to 21 years) -
- Birth certificate issued by a Municipal Authority or district office of the Registrar of Births & Deaths or Baptism certificate;
- or Birth certificate from the school (Gola. / Recognized) last attended by the applicant or any other recognized educational institution;
- or if a person is class 10 or more pass, he should give a copy of the marksheet of class 10, if it contains date of birth as a proof of date of birth;
- or Marksheet of class 8 if it contains date of birth;
- or Marksheet of class 5 if it contains date of birth;
- or IndianPassport;
- or PAN card;
- or Driving License;
- or Aadhar letter/Card issued by UIDAL
In case of unavailability of above documents a declaration by either of the parents (or by the guru in case of an elector in third gender category) of the applicant in a prescribed format of Annexure II of form 6 can be submitted as per the guidelines in the form. In such cases, the applicant will have to be present himself for verification before Booth Level Officer /Assistant Electoral Registration Officer / Electoral Registration Officer. Further in case of unavailability of any of the documents and the parents of the applicant not being alive, a certificate of age given by the sarpanch of the concerned Gram Panchayat or Municipal corporation/Municipal Committee can be submitted by the applicant.
In case of application for a fresh registration being made by an applicant who is above 21 years of age and his/her name is not included on the electoral roll in anywhere in India then a declaration of age has to be given by the applicant as per Annexure III of form 6 if not the application is liable to be rejected.
For residence proof -
- Bank / Kisan / Post Office current Pass Book;
- or Ration Card;
- or Passport; or Driving License;
- or Income Tax Assessment Order;
- or Latest rent agreement;
- or Latest Water / Telephone, Electricity, Gas Connection Bill for that address, either in the name of the applicant or that of his / her immediate relation like parents etc.;
- or Any post letter/mail delivered through Indian Postal Department in the applicant's name at the address of ordinary residence.
- Homeless Indian Citizens living in sheds/pavement dwellers and Sex Workers, who do not possess any documentary proof of ordinary residence are eligible for enrollment in electoral roll, provided that are ordinarily residing at the given address.
- Students, if otherwise eligible, living in a hostel or mess or lodge more or less continuously, going back to their normal home or place of residence only for short periods, can be held to be ordinarily resident in the place where the hostel, mess or lodge is situated. Such students who want to enroll themselves at the hostel/mess will have to attach a bonafide declaration duly certified by the Headmaster / Principal / Director / Registrar / Dean of the educational institution with Form 6.
