Mandrem is constituency No. 1 of Goa legislative assembly. It is situated in North Goa district and belongs to North Goa Lok Sabha constituency. It is an open constituency.
According to data with the Election Commission of India, Mandrem has 29,364 registered voters. It comprises 14,829 male and 14,535 female registered voters.
In the 2011 Assembly elections, the BJP won this seat by a margin of 3,435 votes. Laxmikant Parsekar, the winning BJP candidate, got 11,955 votes. The nearest contender was Dayanand Raghunath Sopte of Congress who got 8,520 votes. The turnout was 88.43%.
