About Digboi Assembly Constituency

Digboi is constituency No. 123 of Assam legislative assembly. It is situated in Tinsukia district and comes under Dibrugarh Lok Sabha constituency. It is an unreserved constituency. According to the Election Commission of India, this constituency has 1,12,637 registered voters. It comprises 57,742 male and 54,895 female registered voters.

In the 2011 Assembly elections, the Congress beat BJP by 10,758 votes to win this seat. Rameswar Dhanowar, the winning Congress candidate, got 38,663 votes. The runner-up was BJP candidate Suren Phukan who got 27,905 votes. The voter turnout was 68.66 %.
