About Pharenda Assembly Constituency

Pharenda is constituency No. 315 of Uttar Pradesh legislative assembly. It is situated in Maharajganj district and comes under Maharajganj Lok Sabha constituency. It is an open constituency.

According to data with the Election Commission of India, Pharenda has a total of 3,03,960 registered voters. It comprises 1,67,100 male and 1,36,860 female registered voters.

In the 2012 Assembly elections, the BJP won this constituency by 13,335 votes. Bajrang Bahadur Singh, the winning BJP candidate, got 47,921 votes. The nearest contender was Virendra Chaudhary of Congress who got 34,586 votes. The voter turnout was 59.99 %.
