About Modi Nagar Assembly Constituency

Modi Nagar is constituency No. 57 of Uttar Pradesh legislative assembly.
It is situated in Ghaziabad district and comes under the Baghpat Lok Sabha constituency. It is an open constituency.

According to data with the Election Commission of India, Modi Nagar has 2,83,131 registered voters. It comprises 1,57,611 male and 1,25,520 female registered voters.

In the 2012 Assembly elections, the RLD won this constituency by a margin of 13,949 votes. Sudesh Sharma, the winning RLD candidate, got 58,635 votes. The nearest contender was Rajpal Singh of BSP who got 44,686 votes. The voter turnout was 62.61 %.
