About Kithore Assembly Constituency

Kithore is constituency No. 46 of Uttar Pradesh legislative assembly.
It is situated in Meerut district in Upper Doab region of the state. It comes under Meerut Lok Sabha constituency. It is an open constituency.

According to data with the Election Commission of India, Kithore has 3,03,089 registered voters. It comprises 1,69,939 male and 1,33,139 female registered voters.

In the 2012 Assembly elections, the Samajwadi Party defeated the Bahujan Samaj Party by 11,106 votes to win this seat. Shahid Manzoor, the winning Samajwadi Party candidate, got 73,015 votes. The nearest contender was Lakhi Ram Nagar of BSP who got 61,909 votes. The voter turnout was 66.37 %.
