About Etah Assembly Constituency

Etah is constituency No. 104 of Uttar Pradesh legislative assembly which comprises a sum total of 403 constituencies. Etah assembly constituency is situated in Etah district and comes under the Etah Lok Sabha constituency. It is an open constituency.

According to data with the Election Commission of India, Etah has 2,86,337 registered voters. It comprises 1,59,671 male and 1,26,662 female registered voters.

The Samajwadi Party (SP) defeated its nearest rival, the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP), by 3,244 votes to win this constituency in the 2012 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections. Ashish Kumar Yadav, the winning Samajwadi Party candidate, got 39,282 votes. The runner-up was Gajendra Singh Babloo of BSP who got 36,038 votes. The voter turnout was 57.13 %.
