About Badaun Assembly Constituency

Badaun is constituency No. 115 of Uttar Pradesh legislative assembly.
It is situated in Badaun district in Rohilkhand region of the state. It comes under Badaun Lok Sabha constituency. It is an open constituency.

According to data with the Election Commission of India, Badaun has 3,13,196 registered voters. It comprises 1,73,485 male and 1,39,711 female registered voters.

The Samajwadi Party (SP) defeated the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) by 15,413 votes in the 2012 Assembly elections. Abid Raza Khan, the winning Samajwadi Party candidate, got 62,786 votes. The nearest contender was Mahesh Chandra Gupta of BJP who got 47,373 votes. The voter turnout was 61.81 %.
