About Cumbum Assembly Constituency

Cumbum is constituency No. 201 of Tamil Nadu legislative assembly. It is located in Theni district. This unreserved constituency is part of the Theni Lok Sabha constituency. Elections to this constituency were not held in 1957 and 1962.

According to data with the Election Commission of India, Cumbum has 2,16,907 registered voters. It comprises 1,07,868 male and 1,09,039 female voters.

The DMK won this seat in the 2011 assembly elections by a margin of 12,168 votes. Eramakrishnan N., the winning candidate, got 80,307 votes. Eramakrishnan won this seat for a third consecutive term. Murugesan P., the runner-up, got 68,139 votes. Murugesan was DMDK's candidate. The voter turnout was 76.37%.
