Kohima Town assembly constituency is in the Kohima district of Nagaland State. There are 31,641 voters in the constituency of which 22,984 voters voted in the last election making the voting to around 72.6%. The Demographic Bifurcation of the constituency is 87.67% Christians, 9.51% Hindus and 1.64% Muslims.

Dr Neikiesalie Nicky Kire candidate belonging to Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party won the seat in last election defeating Dr Tseilhoutuo Rhutso of Naga Peoples Front by 2,372 Votes.
