About Kanjirappally Assembly Constituency

Kanjirappally is constituency No. 100 of Kerala legislative assembly. This unreserved assembly seat is situated in Kottayam district and comes under the Pathanamthitta Lok Sabha constituency. The Pathanamthitta Lok Sabha constituency was formed after delimitation in 2008.

According to the Election Commission of India, Kanjirappally has 1,61,648 registered voters. It comprises 79,274 male and 82,374 female registered voters.

In the 2011 assembly elections, the KEC(M) party won this seat by a convincing margin of 12,206 votes. N. Jayaraj, the winning candidate, got 57,021 votes. CPI candidate Suresh T. Nair was the runner-up with 44,815 votes. The voter turnout was 70.01 %.
