About Ettumanoor Assembly Constituency

Ettumanoor is constituency No. 96 of Kerala legislative assembly. It is situated in Kottayam district and comes under the Kottayam Lok Sabha constituency.

According to the Election Commission of India, Ettumanoor has 1,50,807 registered voters. It comprises 74,710 male and 76,097 female registered voters.

In the 2011 Assembly elections, the CPI(M) managed to clinch this seat by a narrow margin of 1,801 votes. K. Suresh Kurup, the winning CPI(M) candidate, secured 57,381 votes. The runner-up, Thomas Chazhikadan of Kerala Congress (Mani), got 55,580 votes. The voter turnout was 78.51 %.
