About Sikaripara Assembly (Vidhan Sabha) Constituency
One of the 81 assembly constituencies of Jharkhand, Sikaripara belongs to Dumka parliamentary constituency. Nalin Soren of JMM won the assembly elections of 2009 for the second consecutive time. He defeated Paritosh Soren of JVM. Nalin Soren received 30474 votes as against Paritosh Soren's 29471 votes. Having population of 131,464, according to 2011 census, Sikaripara is a town in Dumka district of Jharkhand.
