About Priol Assembly Constituency

Priol is constituency No. 20 of Goa legislative assembly.
It is situated in North Goa district and comes under North Goa Lok Sabha constituency. Priol is an open assembly constituency. The state of Goa has 40 legislative constituencies.

According to data with the Election Commission of India, Priol has 27,595 registered voters. It comprises 13,833 male and 13,762 female registered voters.

In the last Goa assembly elections held in 2012, the Maharashtrawadi Gomantak Party won this constituency by 2,100 votes. Pandurang (alias Deepak Dhavalikar), the winning candidate from Maharashtrawadi Gomantak Party, got 12,264 votes. With 10,164 votes, the runner-up was Independent candidate Govind Gaude. The voter turnout was 89.62 %.
