About Laxmi Nagar Assembly (Vidhan Sabha) Constituency

Laxmi Nagar is a residential area in East Delhi. The assembly constituency of Laxmi Nagar belongs to East Delhi parliamentary constituency. It was formed in 2008 after the implementation of the recommendations of the Delimitation Commission of India. AK Walia of INC was the sitting MLA since 1993. But in 2013 assembly elections, Walia was defeated by the then member of AAP - Vinod Kumar Binny.
